navigating my journey of self-discovery and so much more in New York City. Y’all, I swear every day feels like an episode from a TV show, with the soundtrack included, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. In my debut chapbook, “Missing My Becoming,” I penned a love letter to myself and others who are navigating post-relationship identity rediscovery because that shit is real.
Don’t get stuck. Start over, change it up, do whatever the hell you want. Mmkay?!

I was told NO for two years until today at 1:13PM, when I finally got my YES.
We’ll get into that yes in a couple weeks. For now, this is just me keeping a promise to myself: if the yes ever came, I’d share this video.
I made this video back in 2023 for a submission to a SUPER competitive program. The entire application was one question: “What’s your brand story?”
So I flew home for the holidays (btw me and the holidays ain’t the best of friends but my therapist got me making new traditions, so there’s that 🙄) and went straight to my village and asked “Who am I?”
Me, my little Amazon mic, and my whole heart spent two weeks bouncing around Atlanta getting their answers.
It took a lot of takes. I’d cry or laugh. They’d cry or laugh. It was a lot. Everyone I interviewed isn’t in this video but the making of this video sticks with me — deep, deep.
I haven’t watched this since I submitted it and got the no, until today.
Today a different program said yes. But it’s the same destination. Same dream. Just on my timeline, literally.❤️
Currently ugly crying on the train writing this with two doughnuts from @doughnutplant and takeout in hand.

#WorkBeLike — 15 years of #MAGIC & so MUCH damn #CULTURE in #Atlanta!
This year was all about festivals for @WeThriveMedia, and let me tell you—my content creation endurance is on another level now thanks to the ONE and ONLY #ONEMusicFest.
What’s my favorite part about festival social production? The PEOPLE. Sing, scream, twirl—do it all for my camera! 🤭
There’s something so special about seeing people connect to music that makes my heart so full and it makes the content hit 10x harder, okay?!
Here are some of my favorite moments from @OneMusicFest — @jcarterology, you know exactly how to make Atlanta smile. ❤️
